The Washington State ABLE Prepaid Card is subject to certain federal banking rules and regulations, so a minimum amount of information is required to register for a prepaid card account. When you sign up for a prepaid card account you will need to provide your full legal name, date of birth, last 4 digits of your SSN, a valid U.S. home address (P.O. Boxes not allowed). We may ask to see a copy of your driver’s license or other identifying documents. You must also read and agree to the Cardholder Agreement and Central National Bank’s Privacy Policy.

Once a prepaid card is activated, you can load the card with as little as $10 and up to $15,000 of money from an ABLE account. Purchases can be made online and in stores that accept prepaid cards all over the U.S. Use the “Credit” or “Debit” options to process your transaction. You can go online and review your card account activity, balance and settings from the Card tab of the ABLE account. It’s easy to reload money and manage expenses. If you ever need to freeze or secure your account, you can do it from your account or by calling customer service. Your card must be activated within 30 days of registering for a Card Account or your Card Account will be closed.

You can only have one prepaid card connected to each ABLE account you manage or own. So, if you have an ABLE account for yourself and you’re an Authorized Legal Representative for a beneficiary who also has an ABLE account, you can have one prepaid card with your name for your ABLE account and another one for the beneficiary with both of your names on the card. Your card must be activated within 30 days of registering for a Card Account or your Card Account will be closed.
