How do I withdraw money?

You can make withdrawals of at least $10 from your account online at any time. The money will be transferred to your bank account, depending on how the money is allocated.*

If you want to withdraw more than $16,000 or you don’t have an online account, you can mail in a Withdrawal Form.

If you request a check, a $2.50 fee will be deducted from the account to cover the processing costs. You’ll receive the check by mail within 5-7 business days.

If you request a full withdrawal, your account will still be open and active, but the balance will be $0 until you add money to it. To close the account for good, give us a call.

Please note that account owner or Authorized Legal Representative contributions will not be available for withdrawal for 5 business days and gift contributions will not be available for withdrawal for 20 business days.

*Bank accounts that have been connected to an ABLE account within the past 30 calendar days cannot be used for withdrawals.
